Meru County has initiated and established a conducive learning environment by issuing several learning materials.
Governor Peter Munya reiterated his administration commitment when he paid a courtesy call on the Meru Library hosted by the chief librarian Mr Richard Wanjohi. "My Government through the efforts of the First Lady has been donating libraries to schools, which the Meru Library has been training teachers on best practices of maintaining and sustaining them," he said.
He was later invited at Mugambo 102.3 FM, an initiative of Meru County Development Investment Corporation, hosted by Stella Karimi for an interactive session with county residents.
He said his administration has petitioned Isiolo Airport managers to provide space for Miraa and Agricultural produce.
"About 80 per cent of the airport, constructed was mostly to facilitate the transportation of miraa. There is need to give our farmers some space at the facility." he said
During the interview the governor also said the dry belt Sahiwal bulls have greatly improved the livestock sector.
"We bought Sahiwal bulls to enhance cattle breeds and many calves have been sired while other parts of this County benefit from subsidized low cost Artificial Insemination. We cut AI services costs by half" Munya said.
