Disciplinary Action Should Be Taken Against Officers Who Defied Government Orders To Stop Entry Of Camels.

Governor Kiraitu Murungi has asked for disciplinary action to be taken against administration officers who defied county government orders that had been backed by the County Commissioner to stop entry of Camels into Meru county hence causing wanton destruction of crops for farmers.

Speaking during Issuance of Cheques to Community Driven Development committees under Emergency Locust Response Project (ELRP), Governor Kiraitu noted it was wrong for junior government officers taking for Granted orders that were meant to prevent cattle rustling in the county .

Deputy Governor, Hon. Titus Ntuchiu hailed the issuance of cheques to farmers groups worth 37 million under ELRP program, to help farmers in crop recovery plantation, destroyed during the Locust invasion.

Also Present was Coordinator ELPR program Douglas Indeche, Dr. Rufus Miriti the County Secretary, CECM Agriculture Carol Mutiga , Chief of staff Dr. Jotham Kirimi and group of MCAs led by the Leader of Majority Victor Karithi.
