H.E Bshp. Kawira Mwangaza and H.E Rev. Isaac Mutuma M' Ethingia have been sworn to office as Governor and Deputy Governor of Meru respectively, in an occasion presided by the presiding Judge Lady Justice Lucy M.njuguna in Kinoru stadium.

In her speech, Governor Kawira noted this was a victory for all meru people promising an efficient and inclusive Government that will have massive social transformation to deliver Meru from the shackles of poverty.

In particular focus Will be the provision of clean water, improvement of infrastructure especially for the road network, empowerment of Youth, improvement of Education and ensuring Health sector is revamped.

In attendance was Cabinet secretary Public service Prof. Margaret Kobia, elected Members of parliament Senator Kathuri Murungi, Dr. Shadrach Mwiti- South Imenti, Kirima Ngushine- Imenti central, Dan Kiili -Igembe Central, Imenti North- Rahim Dawood, Buuri -Mugambi Rindikiri, Igembe South - John Paul Mwirigi , Igembe North Julius Taitumu and various MCA Elects.
