Governor Bishop Kawira Mwangaza Lobbying To Benefit 1250 Meru Youths.

Under the leadership of Governor Bishop Kawira Mwangaza, every day is a working day. Today, the Governor led a meeting with a Japanese agency, Community Road Empowerment (CORE) at the County headquarters, which intends to improve about 26km of access roads in Majengo, Mjini and Gitimbine using the Do-nou technology.


The project will benefit 1250 youths from Meru County with the first phase benefitting 500 youths from these Communities. The project will last for 3 years, and every youth involved will be paid sh.750 on a daily basis. This recruitment is set to begin by latest the month of November.


Finally a good leader is one who is true to her word. Governor Kawira Mwangaza made a promise of transforming Meru and bringing transparency in various projects. She also promised job creation for the youths in Meru County. This is why there will be thorough public participation in the three identified areas with the Governor herself being present. The public participation will help identify the youths who are most needy inorder to get these jobs. There after, the identified youths will be trained at The Meru National Polytechnic, after which the project will begin.
