Mega Dam Project To End Water Poverty In Buuri.
The residents of Subuiga, Matunda and Ntumburi and their environs, areas which have long since hardest hit by droughts, have something to smile for. This comes amid County Government of Meru's, Lewa Concervancy partnership's high notch plans set for the construction of about 150 Million litres water capacity dam in a 12 acre piece of land, to help end the perennial water poverty in the region.
In a message delivered to the Conservancy today by Meru Deputy Governor, Rev. Mutuma, through a courtesy call, Governor Kawira Mwangaza, who happens to be the conservancy's patron is keen to embrace partnerships that will transform Meru people's livelihoods. Key to it, is working with Lewa conservancy to grow Tourism in Meru County, besides other life transforming projects or programs.
This forms part of key deliverables the county leadership intends to help make Meru a habitable and happy place.
