Maua Town To Bid Farewell To Flooding.

Meru Governor H.E Hon Bishop Kawira Mwangaza has had the pleasure of inspecting the ongoing drainage construction works at Maua town in Igembe South Sub-county while accompanied by the area MCA Hon. Duncan Kangwana and his Kiegoi/Antubochiu counterpart Hon. Timothy Mutwiri.

When public participation forums were conducted last year, the residents of Maua decried perennial flooding of Maua town business premises and residential houses during rainy seasons as a result of poor drainage. This plight is now coming to a permanent end.

Further, Governor Kawira instructed the relevant department to ensure that all floodlights in the town are working by tomorrow evening. Cabro paving of Maua town and renovation of Maua Stadium will also be done.

This administration has the interests of the common mwananchi at heart. As such, it will ensure that the people of Meru enjoy the fruits of devolution fully.

Also present were nominated MCA's Hon. Ruth Kananu and Hon. Dorsen Kagwiria among other leaders.
