In an effort to improve infrastructure and public safety, the county government of Meru through the Department of Roads, Transport and Energy launched a repair campaign aimed to address the challenges faced by residents due to faulty or non-functional floodlights in all sub-counties. By swiftly replacing the damaged lights, the department seeks to maintain a secure and well-illuminated environment for residents.

H.E. Governor Bishop Kawira Mwangaza commissioned an 18M high mountain crane to facilitate the departments functioning hence fast-paced development.
