On behalf of H.E. Governor Bishop Kawira Mwangaza, Health Services CECM Dr. George Gikunda Mungania has overseen the dispatch of essential medical supplies worth Ksh. 17,215,818. Another shipment worth Ksh. 20,670,117 is set to roll out in a week. These supplies will benefit numerous hospitals in Meru County, including Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital (MeTRH), Kanyakine, Mikumbune, Kinooro, Githongo, Giaki, Kangeta, Kibirichia, Mbeu, Mikinduri, Naari, Miathene, Timau, Muthaara, Mutuati, Nyambene and many others.
Dr. Mungania emphasized the responsible use of the Facility Improvement Fund (FIF) in County hospitals, which has helped reduce public outcry about drug shortages. He also debunked rumors about Meru County's KEMSA account, confirming its active status and asserting that the County Government of Meru consistently makes payments to KEMSA. A meticulous verification process was carried out at the MeTRH drug warehouse facility.

Chief Officer Medical Services Dr. Koome Muthuri, and Health Administration Director Dr. Lena Naitore, among others.
