H.E. Governor Bishop Kawira Mwangaza has launched the countywide distribution of the Meru County Scholarship Fund amounting to Ksh20 million. Under this program, secondary school students received Ksh10,000 each, while college and university students were awarded Ksh30,000 each. This financial support is in addition to recent bursaries disbursed by the county government. Beneficiaries will continue to receive this assistance until they successfully complete their education.
From a pool of 4,650 applicants, 974 beneficiaries were meticulously selected to receive these scholarships through a rigorous and transparent process. This initiative underscores the commitment of the Governor's administration to enhance educational access across Meru County, irrespective of economic circumstances.
