Governor Kawira Mwangaza Boosts Education In Meru County With Ksh20 Million Scholarship Fund Disbursement.
Governor Kawira Mwangaza of recently disbursed Ksh20 million from the Meru County Scholarship Fund. On the second day of disbursement, over 200 deserving beneficiaries from Tigania East and Tigania West constituencies received a total of Ksh4 million in financial support.
Secondary school students were awarded Ksh10,000 each, while college and university students received Ksh30,000 each, in addition to the ongoing bursaries. This assistance will continue until the students complete their education.
In further support of education, Governor Mwangaza facilitated the practical instruction of Motor Vehicle Technology at Meru County's Vocational Training Centers (VTCs). Essential equipment donations were made to enhance curriculum implementation:
- Muthara VTC, Karama ward: 2 engines and 1 gearbox
- Kianjai VTC, Kianjai ward: 2 engines
- Mituntu VTC, Kianjai ward: 1 engine
- Mwerondu VTC, Akithi ward: 1 engine
- Kithiri VTC, Nkomo ward: 1 engine
- Athwana VTC, Mikinduri ward: 1 engine
- Amugaa VTC, Thangatha ward: 1 engine
These contributions are aimed at improving practical learning opportunities and ensuring effective curriculum delivery in Motor Vehicle Technology across Meru County's VTCs.
