The First Lady was accompanied by CEC Members Mary Mwiti (water) and Hellen Nangithia (education) on a tour of all the sub counties distributing Christmas gifts.
She donated food stuffs and other Christmas gifts to orphans, vulnerable groups and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). I urge you all to rededicate yourselves to the pursuit of love, unity and common goal she said. The First Lady joined the beneficiaries in dance and embraced the county residents in an atmosphere of love, joy and excitement at various venues across the County.
Later speaking at a Harambee for Kenya Childrens Home, Mrs. Phoebe Munya explained that the Meru County Charity Day will be an annual event to spread cheer and affection to the less fortunate in society and make them feel the love of Christ as those fortunate in society also celebrate the festive season.
