The County government of Meru is partnering with various sponsors to boost education in the entire county.
Speaking earlier today while issuing the Co-operative Bank scholarships at the county headquarters CEC in charge of Education Hellen Nangithia urged more partners and stakeholders to come on board and help support education in the county.
The sponsorship given to the students who attained 350 marks and above will go to 14 bright and needy pupils. Wilfred Mutwiri from Kithakanaro primary, Justus mutembei -Gitine primary and Patrick Baariu from Theera Primary are among this year’s beneficiaries
The CEC - Education also said the county government is also disbursing Ksh 90 million as bursary.
