We started a journey to make MERU great. We started it in May 2013 with limited resources, limited infrastructure and big dreams. But it never skipped our hearts and mind that our county is endowed with unlimited opportunities and possibilities. We set our eyes on being a pace setter. We called our people in various functions to iron out our strategy. Work started and we envisioned a United, Prosperous, Green Model County.

This resulted in our County being the fisrt to launch a County Integrated Development Plan. We took off and we have made great strides towards our vision.

The governor received our County Report 2014 done by Oxford Business Group. We also presented our journey so far, a reality one can confirm is happening. We have big opportunities in Agri-processing, Real Estate, Energy and other sectors.

The vehicles for the investments and public private partnerships have been setup in law and are functional. These include the Meru Investment Corporation and the Meru Microfinance Bank.
