GOVERNOR MUNYA ASSURES ON SALARIES DELAY
Meru Governor H.E Peter Munya addressed Meru County health workers outside his office on the late payment of April salaries earlier today. '
'The late disbursement of funds occasioned by the office of the controller of the budget has led to the late payment of wages and implementation of programs.The Treasury remitted the money to our accounts on Friday so the salaries will be wired to the workers accounts starting tomorrow,'' he said
Governor Peter Munya assured them that efforts had been made to address the delay and they would receive their April salaries by Wednesday.
"The county budget had some issues and none of the county workers has received his or her salary yet.
"Even me, I have not received (my salary) but we are addressing the issues," he said.
