ICT ROADMAP PREPARATION
The County Government of Meru is developing its first ICT Road Map supported by Information Technology Authority (ICTA). The two institutions appointed the Information Professional Africa (IPA) as a consultant to undertake this exercise.
In the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) ICT is cited as the pillar to drive sector performance to efficient service delivery in the County. The IPA has examined the County needs for ICT with stakeholders in the County and has compiled a ICT report which will drive the County into the future. One of the key output is the e-readiness report that will guide the County to draw a strategic ICT Road Map for implementation.
Led by the CEC Lands, ICT and Planning Mr Bikuri, C.O Gikunda the government held its first validation worshop and e-readiness report workshop on 11th June 2015.
The function was chaired by H.E the Deputy Governor who emphasized on the importance of ICT and called for quick roll out of solutions.
"I am excited to be part of the process to deliver this important tool and framework in defining our status, needs and focus in ICT. Not only is ICT quite emphasized in our constitution, vision 2030 and other frameworks, but also a key pillar item in our CIDP. This means we appreciate and are fully aware of the great results that can be harnessed by a systematic speedy implementation of ICT.
