Meru Governor Peter Munya on Wednesday promised his full support in addressing grievances of all sections of the Muslim society with particular focus on their social conditions.

He made his views known when a delegation of Muslim leaders called on him at the county headquarters and discussed issues related to their welfare.

The leaders committed full support of the community to Munya in achieving his objective of balanced growth in the entire County for the remaining years to the general elections.

Mohammed Salim, who headed the Muslim delegation to the meeting, stated Meru County Muslims want issues on education, water, employment, sanitation and equitable distribution of resources adequately addressed.

Salim also noted that the Governor has been steadfast in the fight for Equity and Justice in his political life.

Mr. Munya, however, promised to look at every issue raised by the leaders. ‘’I am the Governor of all sections of people living in Meru County,’’ he said.
