LET JOIN HANDS TO FIGHT CORRUPTION GOVERNOR MUNYA URGES.

By Mutugi Seth, Tuesday, November 24, 2015 -

The Chairman Council of Governors Peter Munya has called on all stakeholders to join hands to fight the corruption scourge.
"For the fight to succeed we require everyone to come together," he said
Speaking during the President’s State of the Nation Address on Corruption at State House, the Meru governor said Kenya requires goodwill of every Kenyan to win the fight against the complex, systematic corruption culture.
Previously, Munya had put corrupt county officials on notice when he ordered internal audit that is currently ongoing in Meru County. The audit firm is also advising Meru County Government on watertight systems to stop corruption.
Earlier, the Governor Munya had called on all institutions mandated to deal with corruption to find a long-term solution to the menace in both levels of governments, a message echoed by President Kenyatta yesterday.
The State of the Nation Address was held in the backdrop of the resignation of the Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru, who bowed to pressure after allegations of massive corruption in her department.
