KSH 38 MILLION ALLOCATED TO MAUA TOWN

ounty government through the department of roads and energy has allocated Ksh 38 million to improve Maua town and its surroundings

Speaking in Maua during the opening in of Jesus Reigns Chapel new church, Murungi noted that his administration has put Plans in place to make Maua one of the cleanest and green town in Meru.

He promised that that the Country Government will ensure that trader are working in a conducive environment.

Governor Kiraitu urged Maua residents to be calm and give his administration time to work for them.

The Governor promised that the County Government will work with church and asked Christian's to pray for the government. He noted that appointment of bishop Buria as a Board Chair for meru municipal board shows the good working relationship between the County Government and the church.

Deputy Governor Hon Titus Ntuchiu said that the county Government has set aside Ksh 38 million to improve Maua town.

He added that the tender to cabro pave and improve drainage in Maua town has been awarded and the Contractor will start the work very soon.

His sentiment we're encored by CEC for Roads, Transport and Energy Mr Julius Taitumu who said that by next year the county government will put big flood lights in order to reduce insecurity and enable business to operate for 24 hrs.

Meru senator Mr Mithika Lituri thanked the Governor for bringing all meru leaders together. He urged residents to be patient and give Governor Kiraitu more time to deliver on his promise to Make Meru great.
