IPOA OPENS THEIR REGIONAL OFFICE IN MERU

Governor Kiraitu Murungi today received a delegation from Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) led by Vice Chairman Mr Jonathan Lodompui where they deliberated on issues touching on the police and security in our County.
IPOA is a state authority created under an Act of Parliament with the mandate of holding the police accountable to the public in the performance of their functions.
In this regard, IPOA has set up a Regional Office in our great County which will be headed by Regional Coordinator Hussein Aden to improve efficiency in police service.
We are glad that we have a team at the grassroots that will listen to challenges and also act as an arbiter. We will partner in order to make Meru great and safe as we pledge our support.
Also present were commissioners Dr Jimmy Mwithi, Hon John Waiganjo and Praxedes Tororey.
