KIRAITU CHAMPIONS FOR INCREASED RURAL DEVELOPMENT

In order to realize the plan for dust free towns and markets, Governor Kiraitu has officially commissioned the upgrade of Mwichiune Market, Kieni Kia Ndege and Kanyakine loop roads to paved (Cabro) standards.
The Governor who was in a development tour for South Imenti, pledged to factor in the bridge connecting Mwichiune and Koothine, in the next budget. St. Ann Igoji Mission Hospital road will also be paved.
Also, speaking during the inauguration ceremony for the new Igoki Division, the Governor thanked the leadership of President Kenyatta for honouring the promise he made to the people of Igoki, as this will be one sure way of increased resources for the region.
The Division has been erupting mixed reactions among the people since 1908, until a collaborated effort of the Governor and area leadership bore fruits today with a new division led by ACC, Mr. Maingi William.
