LAARE CABRO PAVEMENT ON COURSE

CEC Roads and public works Julius Taitumu has refuted claims that Laare cabro works had stopped .Mr Taitumu was leading a team of county officials on the ground to inspect the ongoing project.

"The vision of the governor is to see dustless and clean towns paving Is not only happening here in laare but in various towns in Meru" said Mr Taitumu. He warned people spreading malicious propaganda was a ploy to stop the project and the county would remain focused.

Andrew Muriungi a laare business man said the cabro pavements had transformed their lives and he expected a boom in his businesses. " We are saddened by the propaganda saying the contractor had vacated the site , every single day the contractor was on the ground"

Kirimara contractor ,site engineer Mr Justin Kuria said not even the rains had derailed their plans to complete the project on the stipulated time. "We are the ones with the rights to complain about payments period , no one can purport to speak on our behalf and the government has played their role as per our agreement" said Mr Kuria.
