Kiraitu Leads Key Message On Meru Heroes And Heroins As Kenya Marks 57th Mashujaa Day.

Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi led the people of Meru to celebrate kenya's freedom fighters at Timau Stadium, Buuri West, as the nation marks the 57th Madaraka Day.

Calls on the need to recognize Meru freedom fighters orchestrated the event that climaxed with issuance of title deeds to Mau Mau freedom fighters.
The Governor said his government is working closely with the national government inorder to end the puzzling land ownership issues in the Buuri region, especially among squatters.

This comes when the county government of Meru has started recognizing the Mau Mau heroes and heroines, which began yesterday by naming two Meru Town streets in honor of field Marshall Mwariama and General Baimungi.
