Meru The First To Draft County Aids Implementation Plan (CAIP)

Governor Kiraitu has remarkably invested on public private partnerships in order to improve people's lives.
While officiating a review meeting for County Aids Implementation Plan (CAIP) Development in Meru, Chief of Staff Gideon Kimathi stated the need for more partnerships to help effect the Making Meru Great journey.
He hailed National Aids Control Council ( NACC) for cascading the plan to counties for action, hinting Implementation has not been given prominence in Kenya despite having best policies and strategic plans that befits mwananchi.
According to NACC CEO Dr. Masha, Meru County was selected to pioneer the program before its launched for all the 47 counties. NACC has been offering technical, resource mobilization, coordinating as well as support counties to Implement HIV Response, to enhance survival rates as well as promote a life free of violence, stigma and discrimination.
