Inauguration Of Ngo'nyi Fish Market: Empowering Local Fish Farmers

On behalf of H.E. Governor Bishop Kawira Mwangaza, Dr. Kiambi Atheru, the County Secretary and Head of Public Service, accompanied by CECM Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, Dr. Faith Mwende, presided over the handing over and opening ceremony of the Ngo'nyi Fish Market. This joint endeavor between the National Government and the County Government, facilitated by the Aquaculture Business Development Program (ABDP), marks a significant milestone in transforming the operations of local fish farmers.
In his speech, Dr. Kiambi reiterated the commitment to supporting industrious farmers, emphasizing that the new market offers a vital outlet for their fresh produce, thereby contributing to food security, improving nutritional standards, and fostering sustainable agricultural practices within the county.
This initiative is in alignment with the vision outlined in Governor Kawira Mwangaza's manifesto, which prioritizes the expansion of income-generating opportunities for residents while fostering economic prosperity and overall development.
