The Department of Water & Irrigation has successfully sunk a borehole at St. Mark Primary School in Kiutine, Athiru Ruujine Ward, Igembe Central.

The borehole water will greatly help the school and the community save money that they have been using to purchase water. The school's Headteacher noted that CBC students are now able to carry out their practicals on the farm, which was previously a challenge due to lack of water.

The area residents thanked H.E Governor Bishop Kawira Mwangaza for the significant progress she has made, particularly in addressing water problems since taking office. They acknowledged that the borehole will serve a significant purpose in their daily use and farming activities.
