The County Government of Meru under the leadership of H.E. Governor Bishop Kawira Mwangaza as mandated strives to ensure that Pre-primary Education is inclusive and equitable to all. The administration has made milestones in the achievement of the same by distributing books and ensuring construction of ECDE classes across different wards in the county. The issuance of a Ksh. 750,000 cheque to fund the construction of an ECDE class at Subuiga Primary School shows the administration's continued commitment to achieving a target set by Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 4) which calls for governments to ensure that by 2030, all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development, care and pre-primary education so that they are ready for primary education.
Governor Kawira Mwangaza's administration recognizes Water as a core element of Sustainable Development since it supports socio-economic development, energy and food production. The administration is committed to ensuring that a large percentage of the population in Meru County have sustained access to clean water supply.
