The true wealth of any community lies in the health of its people, and today, that wealth grew significantly in Meru where H.E governor Rev Isaac Mutuma M'Ethingia had the immense honor of officially commissioning our brand-new, ultramodern 64-slice CT Scan machine at Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital (MeTRH). A true game-changer!

For two long years, our hospital operated without this essential diagnostic tool, but the wait is over. This isn't just a replacement; it's a monumental leap forward. The new machine boasts advanced AI capabilities and is upgradable to 128 slices, offering incredibly superior image resolution and more precise diagnoses than ever before. This is especially crucial in our fight against the heavy burden of cancer in Meru County - improving diagnosis, follow-up, and treatment outcomes.

Faster, More Accurate Answers: Doctors can now see with incredible clarity, leading to quicker diagnoses for a wide range of conditions, from head to toe, including complex vascular imaging.

Massive Cost Savings: We're committed to accessible healthcare. This CT scan will reduce patient costs by up to 50 percent compared to private facilities and of course patients can use SHA for the services

Regional Excellence: As the only one of its kind in Upper Eastern, MeTRH will now serve not just Meru residents, but patients from neighboring counties too, becoming a true hub of medical innovation.

This machine comes fully equipped for efficiency and reliability, with a dual contrast injector, printer, and UPS system. Crucially, we’ve ensured safe and seamless operation with dedicated earthing and comprehensive training for our biomedical engineers, radiographers, radiologists, and ICT officers.

This state-of-the-art facility is a significant step in our deliberate efforts to transform healthcare services across Meru.
