Delivering Development At The Grassroots: H.E. Governor Rev. Mutuma MEthingia Engages Igoji West Ward Residents, Flags Off Roads And Water Projects.

H.E. Governor Rev. Mutuma M’Ethingia this afternoon engaged residents of Igoji West Ward at Kinoro Market in Imenti South Sub-County, where he led a productive and forward-looking public forum on the area’s development priorities.

During the engagement, the Governor outlined key projects the County Government is committed to delivering, including the elevation of Kinoro Market, construction of ECDE classrooms, improvements in the health sector, and job creation for the youth, particularly through recently advertised employment opportunities.

The Governor also inspected the Mutonga Water Canal and flagged off the grading of Kimayia Road, marking preparations for the wider county road works planned for 2026. These include road opening, grading, gravelling, dozing, and drainage improvements. In addition, he flagged off the distribution of water pipes for several water projects, namely Kaithare, Gakiri Muguna, Gakiri Kieni, Makobo, and Mukaragataine Water Projects.

He was accompanied by Deputy Governor H.E. Lindah Kiome, Chief of Staff Dr. Julius Mbijiwe, Ag. County Secretary and CECM for Roads, Transport and Energy Mr. David Baariu, Chief Officer for Water, Irrigation, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change Mr. Phineas Kang’ote, Igoji West Ward MCA Hon. Mutembei Mbiuki, alongside other distinguished leaders.
