Governor Mutuma MEthingia Commissions New ECDE Classrooms In Igoji West.
H.E. Governor Hon. Rev. Mutuma M’Ethingia today commissioned several new ECDE classrooms and learning facilities across Igoji West Ward, Imenti South Sub-County, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to expanding access to quality education and creating a better learning environment for children across Meru County.
During the development tour, the Governor commissioned new ECDE classrooms at Mukaragatine Comprehensive School, Mukuchiune Comprehensive School, PCEA Mugae Hill School, Kiroone Comprehensive School, and PCEA Kathuguya ECDE. He also presided over the commissioning of a new workshop at Kiroone Vocational Training Centre in Igoji West Ward.
Speaking during the events, H.E. Governor Mutuma M’Ethingia emphasized that education remains the foundation of a stronger and more prosperous future. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investing in early childhood education, skills development, and modern learning infrastructure across the county.
The Governor noted that every new classroom and learning facility represents a significant step toward empowering learners and teachers, while ensuring that children study in safe, conducive, and supportive environments that promote academic growth and personal development.
He further engaged residents and members of the school communities on ongoing County development initiatives and reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of ECDE teachers, recognizing the critical role they play in shaping the future of Meru’s children.
The Governor was accompanied by Deputy Governor H.E. Lindah Kiome, CECM for Education, Science, Culture and Arts Dr. Esther Rukunga, Area MCA Hon. Mutembei Mbiuki, alongside other County leaders and members of the local community.
