Governor Mutuma And Deputy Governor Lindah Inspect Road And Health Projects In Athwana Ward
H.E. Governor Rev. Mutuma M’Ethingia, accompanied by H.E. Deputy Governor Lindah Kiome Gitonga, conducted a development tour of Athwana Ward in Tigania West Sub-County, where they inspected key infrastructure and healthcare projects aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.
The Governor assessed the ongoing road upgrade works to ensure the project is progressing according to the required standards. He reaffirmed that every road improved is an investment in the future of the people, as quality infrastructure enhances connectivity, supports local businesses, improves access to schools and healthcare facilities, and creates new opportunities for economic growth. The County Government remains committed to delivering durable roads that will serve communities for generations.
During the tour, the Governor also visited Kibiru Dispensary, where he inspected the ongoing construction of a modern maternity facility and commissioned the newly completed laboratory. He noted that strengthening healthcare infrastructure is essential to building a healthier future, reducing the need for residents to travel long distances in search of medical services, and ensuring mothers and families can access quality healthcare closer to home.
The leaders also engaged with residents to listen to their priorities and reaffirmed the County Government's commitment to investing in sustainable development that promotes healthier communities, improved livelihoods, and a brighter future for the people of Athwana Ward and the wider Tigania West Sub-County.
