H.E. Governor Rev. Mutuma M'Ethingia Commissions Key Health And Infrastructure Projects In Kanuni Ward
H.E. Governor Rev. Mutuma M'Ethingia has commissioned Kianda Dispensary, Kithaniro Bridge, and the Male Ward at Akachiu Health Centre in Kanuni Ward, reaffirming the County Government's commitment to improving healthcare access, strengthening infrastructure, and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
The newly commissioned Kianda Dispensary and Male Ward at Akachiu Health Centre will bring quality healthcare services closer to the people, reducing travel distances for treatment and ensuring families have access to timely and dignified medical care. The Governor emphasized that investing in healthcare is investing in the well-being and future of every household.
The commissioning of Kithaniro Bridge marks the end of years of hardship caused by seasonal flooding, which often disrupted access to schools, health facilities, farms, and markets. The bridge will provide safe and reliable connectivity, protect lives, and support economic growth in the area.
During the visit, H.E. Governor Mutuma M'Ethingia also held a public engagement with residents, where he listened to their concerns and reaffirmed his administration's commitment to addressing the long-standing issue of title deeds, noting that every family deserves the security and dignity of legal land ownership.
The Governor was accompanied by H.E. Deputy Governor Lindah Kiome Gitonga, Kanuni Ward MCA Hon. Josphat Mugambi, and CECM for Education, Science, Culture and Arts Dr. Esther Rukunga.
