The National Disaster Mitigation team has commended a team of Meru Fire Fighters who alongside the Kenya Defence Forces, Kenya Forest Services, Kenya Wildlife Services and the surrounding communities had untill yesterday engaded in a 9 day tussle to suppress the inferno that had striken Mt. Kenya Forest.

Led by Adriel Mugambi, the Troop Leader, the team comprised of Titus Mugo, Isaac Mburugu, Royford Kinoti, Elias Mutegi, Dennis Wachira, as well as Nicholas Muguna.
