Governor Kiraitu has said that his administration is committed to support culture and sport.

Speaking during the swering of the new CEC for youth, sport and culture Mr James koome, the Governor noted that the Government is working to promote rugby, introduce golf and international Mountain race omong others.

On Culture the Governor said that the Meru Cultural Board is working to introduce Meru Cultural festival which will be an annual event. The Government will also construct a cultural center at Chiru.

As you all know we have Meru youth service which is my flagship projects, so far the first group of 1000 has graduated and the second one will report very soon," Murungi added.

On his part, the Deputy Governor hon Titus Ntuchiu thanked the new CEC for appointment and promised that has the CEC for finance he will fully support him.

The ever was attended by the County secretary, Chief of staff, and several CECs among others.
